The best Painkiller

A 55-year-old man came to my clinic with gradually developing pain in his right knee. The pain was mainly on the inside, increased with activity, and was by then also present at rest.

He had undergone physiotherapy, used pain medication, and did everything that was recommended according to the guidelines, but without lasting effect. What also stood out was that he had type 2 diabetes and weighed 140 kilos.

We discussed the usual treatment options, but decided to shift the focus to the underlying problem: severe insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction.

Six months later, I had scheduled a telephone follow-up. He had lost 26 kilos. His blood glucose levels had normalized. And his knee pain had completely disappeared. No pain medication, no physiotherapy, no injections.

When I hung up, I’ll be honest — I walked down the hallway dancing.

How can this be? And how does it work?

In this slightly overpriced little book, I explain it as simply as possible.

It all has to do with glucose metabolism.
